We collect only what we need to make Spotz work for you. We don't sell your personal data. Ever. You can delete your account and data anytime.

When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile info you choose to add (name, photo, bio).
Spots, invitations, messages, comments, photos, videos, and other user-generated content you create in the app. You own this content; we store and process it to provide the service to you and other users you share it with.
We collect information about how you interact with Spotz, including which spots you create or join, your interactions with other users (such as reactions and comments), and your activity within the app.
How you interact with the app (features used, crash reports) to help us improve. This may be de-identified or aggregated where possible.

Depending on your device settings, we may collect approximate or precise location information. We use location for features like showing your distance from a spot or helping you find nearby spots. You can enable, disable, or adjust location permissions at any time through your device settings.
Precise location data is treated as sensitive information under many privacy laws, and you can disable location access at any time through your device settings.
We do not upload or store your entire address book by default. We only process the specific contacts you select when you choose to invite someone to a spot. These contact details are used to send invitations and to check whether those contacts already have a Spotz account. We do not sell contact information. Invitees who receive messages can opt out of future invitations by following the instructions in the message or by contacting us at hello@getspotz.app.
If you use AI features, your prompts are processed to generate responses. We don't use these to train AI models.

We only process sensitive personal information (like precise location) with your consent and for purposes you'd expect.
We do not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. However, if your jurisdiction requires us to honor legally mandated opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), we will comply with those requirements where applicable. Spotz is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us immediately at hello@getspotz.app and we'll delete it.
We keep your data as long as your account is active.
When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to keep it for legal reasons.
Data in backups is automatically deleted as backups rotate (typically within 90 days).
We may retain limited information such as security logs or billing records for longer periods when required or permitted by law, even after account deletion.
Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for any international transfers.
