Use Spotz responsibly. Don't do illegal things. Your content is yours, but you give us permission to display it in the app. We provide the service "as is" and aren't liable for everything under the sun.

By using Spotz, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app (we'll miss you, but we understand).
By using Spotz, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use Spotz, and that they have reviewed and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
You'll need an account to use most features. Please provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
You're responsible for all activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, let us know immediately at hello@getspotz.app.
Please don't create multiple accounts or share accounts with others.
Your Content includes spots you create, invitations you send, messages, comments, photos, videos, and any other material you upload or share through Spotz. You retain ownership of Your Content, but you grant us a license to store, display, and process it so that Spotz can function.
This license ends when you delete your content or account.
You're responsible for your content. Please don't upload anything illegal, harmful, or that you don't have the right to share.
Our AI features are powered by third-party providers (like OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and xAI). Your prompts are sent to these providers to generate responses.
If we use third-party AI providers to process content, those providers may receive data necessary to generate responses, subject to their own privacy policies.
AI can make mistakes. Don't rely on AI output for critical decisions without verification. AI responses may not be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your needs.
You're responsible for how you use AI-generated content. Don't use it to create harmful, misleading, or illegal content.
We don't use your AI interactions to train our own AI models.

We may take these actions if we believe content or behavior may violate these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others, or may pose a risk to users or the service. We are not obligated to monitor all content and do not assume responsibility for content posted by users.
Spotz helps users discover and join activities ("spots") created by other users. Please understand:
Stay safe: Use common-sense safety practices when meeting people through Spotz. Consider meeting in public places, telling a friend or family member about your plans, and leaving immediately if you feel unsafe.
Any agreements, payments, or arrangements made between users (for example, sharing costs for an activity or arranging rides) are solely between those users. Spotz is not a party to such agreements and has no responsibility for them. We do not facilitate payments between users or guarantee that any user will fulfill their commitments.
We do not perform background checks on users, and you should not rely on Spotz to verify identity or safety of participants.
Spotz's code, design, logos, and branding are owned by Spotz and protected by intellectual property laws. Please don't copy or redistribute them without permission.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we can use them without obligation to you. (But we really appreciate them!)
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on Spotz infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to our designated agent with the following information:

Basic features of Spotz are free.
Some features may require payment. Prices and terms will be clearly displayed before purchase.
Refunds are handled according to the policies of your app store (Apple App Store, Google Play).
We may change pricing with notice. Existing subscriptions will honor their current terms until renewal.
Spotz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific needs.
Spotz is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.). Please consult appropriate professionals for important decisions.
We integrate with third-party services. We're not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or policies.
Spotz is not a safety or emergency service. You cannot use Spotz to contact emergency responders or public safety authorities. Spotz is not designed or intended to be used for emergency communications. In an emergency, please contact your local emergency services (such as 911 in the United States) using your phone or other appropriate means.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months (or $100 if you haven't paid anything).
Some places don't allow these limitations. If that's you, these limits apply only to the extent permitted by local law.
You agree to defend and hold harmless Spotz from claims arising from:
We'll let you know if such a claim arises and cooperate with your defense.
You can stop using Spotz anytime. Delete your account in Settings to remove your data.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, or for other reasons with notice. We'll try to give you a chance to export your data when possible.
Some provisions survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits.
If you have a dispute, please contact us at hello@getspotz.app first. We'll try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
If we can't resolve it informally, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive the right to participate in class actions.
Either party can seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations or security threats.
You can opt out of arbitration by emailing us within 30 days of first using Spotz.
Opt-out requests must be sent from the email associated with your account so we can verify ownership.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any legal action must be brought in the courts located in the State of Oregon.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or email.
Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms. If you don't agree with changes, please stop using the service.
These Terms (plus our Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
Not enforcing a provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
We can assign these Terms in a merger or acquisition. You can't assign your rights without our consent.
